The voluntary implementation period for the CMS LEAD (Long-term Enhanced ACO Design) Model runs from September 15, 2026, through December 31, 2026. This gives accepted Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) time to build provider networks, conduct outreach, and establish voluntary alignments before the official 10-year performance period launches.
